Should I change my avatar?

Posted by TylerFromTexas - April 17th, 2012

My Texas Fox avatar seems to make people think that I'm a furry. Though I was once part of the fandom, I got sick of it months ago because of some people I've met started to creep me out. But I do like this little fox, so I decided to keep using it as my avatar/profile picture for newgrounds, DA, and steam.

But should I change it because I'm no longer a furry?

Not really, it's just a cartoon fox :p I mean, it'd be like calling Disney furry or something.

I tried the furry thing, hated the creepers. I still draw birds but they're far from anthro, and drawing birds anthro just seemed so off.

Wouldn't it be a matter of personal opinion? Not like you're offending anyone right?
If you like it, keep it. Personally, kinda makes me think of the old Foxhound emblem from the old Metal Gear games...minus the flag.
If you want to stop getting called a furry changing the avatar might be a step in the right direction. Because due to the increase of availability and popularity, the internet isn't being filled with the most brightest of minds. People are pretty quick to make accusations. So yeah, up to you.
Keep it, deal with people calling you a furry. (Haters gonna hate.)
Change it, not have to deal with it. Which is a pretty easy fix.
